Wedding Season Around The Corner

As I sit in my sunroom office and write this, the trees are bursting with spring green leaves outside. Daffodils and forsythia are blooming and the ferns are already over a foot high. It’s a magnificent time of year where so much suddenly bursts out of what seems like just dirt or just branches. Downstairs, my younger daughter prepares for her Suzuki Violin Book 2 recital and is practicing Boccherini’s Minuet with her older sister accompanying. The daily practice has suddenly bursts out into colorful song. When did they learn to play music together like this?

It reminds me how the winter season can be a time where we work on projects and brew what may possibly come into bloom in the spring. Three weeks ago, I couldn’t imagine an outdoor wedding here in Maine. It was still too brown and cold. But now with the dazzling green and the myriad of colorful flowers surrounding me, I can. And I look forward to the many ceremonies that I get to add a special touch to. I love traveling to beautiful places and witnessing the vows of love. I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to work with many wonderful couples and help them create their special ceremony.

Cheers to the 2019 wedding season!
